Model N Welcomes Kimberly DeCarlis as New Board Member

January 15, 2020

SAN MATEO, Calif., January 15, 2020 – Model N, Inc. (NYSE: MODN), the leader in cloud revenue management solutions, today announced the appointment of Kimberly DeCarlis, Chief Marketing Officer at PerimeterX, to its Board of Directors.

“Kim is a seasoned marketing leader with a unique combination of product marketing, brand building and sales experience,” commented Jason Blessing, President and Chief Executive Officer at Model N. “As we continue to realize the benefits of our strategic focus on life sciences and high tech, her track record of scaling and extending the presence of market-leading brands in high-growth companies will be invaluable in helping take Model N to the next level.”

In her current role at PerimeterX, a growing Series C cybersecurity firm whose solutions protect Global 2000 companies from automated attacks, DeCarlis leads the global marketing team.

A transformative marketer and master storyteller with the ability to translate highly technical concepts into easily understood business benefits, DeCarlis has served as Chief Marketing Officer for Imperva and Gigamon and the head of worldwide marketing for BMC Software. At Gigamon, she was responsible for company repositioning efforts and led a cross-functional initiative to refocus the firm’s go-to-market efforts, enabling it to earn a dominant 37% market share in its vertical and achieve 2.2 times marketing sourced revenue growth in just six quarters.

At Imperva, she repositioned the company and built an integrated marketing approach that partnered with the sales organization, facilitating over $100 million in revenue growth over two years. She is a member of the advisory board for artificial intelligence vendor Compellon and serves on the boards of directors for the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose and Girls in Tech. DeCarlis’s career in Silicon Valley began at IBM Corporation and has included positions at Xerox, Documentum, Saba, IRI, and Citrix Systems. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

“The complexities that accompany digital disruption have created a growing revenue execution crisis. It’s harder than ever before for companies to know and grow their true top line,” commented DeCarlis. “Model N’s solutions are market game-changers, helping life sciences and high tech companies capture, grow and manage topline revenue. I am thrilled to join their board as the company enters its next phase of growth and innovation.”
